The Transfer Student, Shintani Hinata, Appear is the 26th chapter of the Kaichou wa Maid-Sama! Manga.

Summary

Takumi is working part time at the cafe, while Misaki is worried about his health. She notices butter stain at his mouth and cleans it with her hand. However, Takumi grabs her hand and says that recently, she has been very gentle, much to Misaki's embarassment. Satsuki comes in and asks Takumi if it was his first meeting with a stubborn girl like Misaki. Misaki looks curious at this, but when Takumi asks if she is interested in his past, she simply denies.

At school, Misaki and Takumi are shocked to see a guy who jumps down from the school building just to catch his food. Later, he is introduced in class 2-1 as a new transfer student named Hinata Shintani . He spots a Honey Lemon flavour candy and is about to eat it, but Misaki stops him, telling him that its against the rules. Later, Misaki shows him around the school. However, when Misaki leaves to take care of the student council papers, some guys blocks Hinata and offers the desire to 'welcome' him. 

In the council room, Takumi again asks Misaki if she wants to know about his past. Even though she denies, it is clear that she really wants to know it. Soon, Sakura and Shizuko inform her that Hinata has been surrounded by a group of boys. Upon arriving, she is surprised to see that he is recieving lots of food items from them. He tells them that he used to be a fat boy, and after eating lots of vegetables, he lost weight. He further says that he moved back to the city in search of his first love, Misa-chan. Miskai remembers that that girl is actually her and Takumi, Sakura and Shizuko are shocked to hear this. 

Hinata climbs on a tree to search for his crush, unknown to the fact that it is actually Misaki. Misaki tells him to come down, but he refuses. However, his foot slips and he falls down. While he is in mid air, Misaki calls him You-kun (a  name she used to use for him). Surprised, Hinata regains control on his body. He happily hugs Misaki, leaving everyone speechless and bringing a rather serious expression on Takumi's face.
