Subaru Saotome (五月女 珠昴, Saotome Subaru), also known as Subaru (すばる, Subaru) is an employee at Maid Latte. Like Honoka, Subaru does not have a full-time job and makes a living from part-time work.

Appearance[]

Subaru is a beautiful young woman with long green hair tied in a ponytail with her bangs parted on her right side of her face and moss green eyes. She wears oval glasses and, to her embarrassment, is believed to have rather small bust, allowing her to participate in the butler audition. She is usually seen wearing her maid outfit.

Personality[]

Subaru is a modest and serious girl who is also mature, calm, passive, rational and independent. Like Misaki Ayuzawa, Subaru is a hard worker, and does her job well but does not often participate in the gossip sessions of the other maids, usually preferring to sit quietly at a table and listen. She considers Misaki to be a hard working individual.

Background[]

Not much is known about her past, except that she has been working in Maid Latte before Misaki came and that she has another part-time job besides Maid Latte, as claimed by herself.

Plot[]

Misa and Subaru as a Footman

Subaru and Misaki during the footman audition

During summer, the Maid Latte employees have been invited by Nagisa Tsuwamono (Satsuki Hyōdō's sister) to her Beach House with Aoi Hyōdō and Takumi Usui tagging along. The girls decide to help out at the resort by hosting a one-day Maid café event to attract customers. During the Footman Audition, Subaru partners with Misaki and they both pretend to be men for the sake of protecting Maid Latte. However, Subaru is discovered halfway through the audition after she fails to change into her tailcoat in a minute which then they disqualified her for revealing that she was wearing a sarashi that covered her chest, which revealed that she was a woman.
